How many weeks pregnant were you when you booked your doula?

I want to hire the same doula I had for first DD birth.
Pregnant again 11 weeks now, but not sure when to book my doula. Shall I wait till after first scan to ensure all is good. Booking fee is non-refundable and a substantial amount.
When did you book your doula?

Hi. I booked after second scan. You might want to book earlier. After first scan or at least make enquiries about availability then.

We booked immediately after the first scan because we wanted to be sure of getting the doula we wanted.

I met with my Doula at 18/19 weeks and provisionally booked her - agreed I would sign a contract / pay deposit after my 20 weeks scan.

About 15 weeks. She said some women book her from BFP though, I didn't feel comfortable with that.
