Could this be the start of labour?

I'm 40 weeks today and although I know babies are rarely punctual, I do wonder if the twinges I'm having are possibly start of labour?

I did some nipple tweaking last night that resulted in me getting some regular sharp pains in my cervix, bubs was really reacting to then too.

They died off after about 1.5 hours.

This morning I have woken up to a constant cramps feeling at the bottom of my back/top of my butt cheeks.

Any of this sound familiar to anyone?

I am booked in for a sweep at 2pm today too so that might get things moving too.

That's how my labour started - it felt like I had really bad constipation. Good luck! Flowers

Ha! That's exactly how it feels!! :-) fingers crossed.

Hopefully the midwife will be able to fill me in more when I see her at 2.

It's really weird and uncomfortable if I sit down after being stood up too - really enhances the pressure on my cervix.

Sadly she wasn't able to get in to get a good enough sweep done so may not do anything :-(
