Hi everyone,

I had my first child on Xmas Eve (4 weeks ago) and was aware beforehand that there is a lot of bleeding after giving birth. I bled a lot straight away as expected and since then it has been fairly minimal bleeding, well kind of.

There doesnt seem to be much on my pad (about a 2 inch patch) but theres quite a bit when i wipe, like its been collecting there. It varies in colour from pinky red, to dark red, to bright red and I am really not sure if this is a sign of anything. I assumed it would get less and less but it seems to have stayed the same for the oast 2 weeks.
I was given no advice from midwives or the hospital about post partum bleeding, the midwives only asked if I was bleeding heavily or not.

I have my second visit from the health visitor tomorrow, is it something I should mention? Or should i keep an eye on it and get it checked at my 6 week gp appointment (i think the midwife mentioned something about being able to go for a 6 week check up)
