Ive been having cramping pains that seemed to have gotten stronger in my lower back and lower abdomen also at the same time i have lots of pressure in my bum and pelvis... the pains are coming around every 8 minutes and have been since 2:30am... the pain is not unbearable which is making me wonder are these just strong braxton hicks? Im 39+1 so it is possible that baby could be on his/her way... thanks for any replies

Sounds like the start of things Smile although how long no one can tell. Good luck!

yes, sounds like it. The pain can be quite bearable in labour for a while.
What did you have planned for today? Best to carry on assuming it will still happen... but keep us posted. Grin

Definitely sounds like the start of things. Take it easy and good luck!

check your bag and have a bath Smile

Sounds like it to me! If you start to not be able to talk properly, that's the time to phone your midwife. When you need to stop everything to concentrate on breathing through the contraction, that's when things are stepping up a gear.

Good luck, keep occupied and just tell your birthing partner to be alert to the fact you may call over the next day xx

Forgot to say keep mobile, have a mooch about the house. I was a pacer each time! IMO, when you can't stay still anymore, you're starting to get somewhere Grin

She's gone awfully quiet...

Sounds like the same start to labour I had. I wasn't sure because it was all in my back, once my waters went I felt it in my abdomen and pelvis. Good luck OP!
