This is my 4th and saw my own mw at 2.30pm who said I was 3 cm dilated bit cervix moved to posterior and 2 cm. ctx around every 4 min. I am coping with pain. due to cs 14 years ago I'm having to go in hospital rather than birth centre. have had 2 vbacs the last one I was told I wasn't in labour (cervix same as when my mw checked today) and 2 hrs later I had dd. I'm anxious about hospitals anyway.

Just tried to speak to local maternity unit (literally 10 min away) with the thought they could perhaps check me and if no change from this afternoon then I go home but if change I go to the hospital rather than the almost 2 hr round trip. I got as far as to say I was contracting and mw said then you have to call hospital and wouldn't even listen to what I was calling to ask. I'm an emotional wreck in tears sat at dining table. I don't want to go in to hospital until I have to and im scared. I know this is my 4th but I'm scared and feel very very alone Sad

Can you call your community mw? Is there an out of hours number?

I agree with toby and ringing the community midwifes, that or just turning up at the mlu and then having them check you over.

Hope you get someone to have a look as understand not wanting to start a two hour trip if not time yet.

thx I didn't want to post on our thread as a very miserable post. The birth centre is the community midwife place I believe so I thought they'd help bit the woman literally wouldn't let me talk at all. I'll look through notes again to check for number
