How long does bleeding tend to last afterwards?

How much bleeding are you having? I had some light spotting after sweeps in both pregnancies. It only lasted an hour or so. A few hours after the successful sweep in my first pregnancy I had some significant bleeding which was my show but that lasted a few minutes only. If you're losing a lot of blood for a prolonged period I would suggest you contact the hospital ASAP.

Not a lot, a tiny bit gets onto a pad, and when wiping, its brown not red blood. I bled immediately after it was done.

I had the sweep this morning so has been like this around 12 hours or so.

I bled for about 24 hours after I had a sweep with my last baby, they did say I should have had it checked out as it seemed excessive but I was an hour away from hospital and I was due to be induced the next day so I said I'd just keep an eye on it. On reflection if it happened again I think I'd go and get checked out but all was fine (and it was Christmas Day!).
