Evening primrose oil to get things started...

I've heard from two different sources in the past week a new tip for self-induction - really big doses of evening primrose oil, with the capsules taken orally and also popped up your privates as a pessary at night. No evidence this works, but anecdotally the Australian midwife in Guildford who suggest this to all her overdue ladies has a much lower induction rate than anyone else in the area, according to my own midwife. Maybe worth buying a tub of high-dose capsules and giving it a go!

Anyone else heard this one/used it?

Not heard about this one but I would run it past your midwife before trying it, just in case it is bad for baby.
