hiya, just wondering if anyone had any experience. I went to the drs yesterday eho was asking about my disorder and has written in my notes that I am to have a fragmin injection daily for a week post birth. as fragmin is an anti clotting drug was just wondering if anyone knew if this was right as my blood doesn't clot properly anyway? I questioned it but she just brushed my concerns aside.

Do you have a haematology consultant? Maybe it would be a good idea to talk to them? They may have a joint haematology/obstetric clinic that they run, or perhaps reassure you.

Good luck, hope it goes well Smile

I don't have a haematologist as since my teenage yearsmy disorder has not been a problem. so only have the consultant, mw and gp advice to go on. which is why I'm qyrdtionjquestioning it as it seems a strange drug to give someone who doesn't clot properly.

I may sleak to my mw or gp about being referred as my consultant specifically told me I wasn't high risk. he said that I was no more likely to bleed than normal women it would just be the case that if I did bleed it would be more of a problem. I am slightly concerned that he is not entirely correct in his approach. he did say that I didn't need to see a consultant but as I was referred he may as well continue.
