Domino Birth? (in Cornwall)

Hello,

Has anyone had a domino birth? I only learnt about it today when I picked up my "maternity pack" but I think I like the idea of it. However, having had an ECS with my son I'm not sure I'll be allowed. My alternative will likely just be a consultant led unit at hospital which is OK but I'm hoping for a VBAC so would rather be at home/with a midwife a bit longer

Just keen to hear from others, especially those who have had one in Cornwall

Thanks!
PB

This used to be a common option and very popular. It stands for Domicillary In and Out ie the mw sees you at home in early labour and then meets you at the hozzie when well under way. It avoids unnecessary trips and admissions.

However, its usually restricted to low risk labours. if you fall outside the box you may have to argue your case.
