I was prescribed nose-spray for mine by my gyne. Otrivine i think (was a while ago). Reduces the swelling. After DC 2 I got them worse and my GP gave me strong anti inflammatories. The relief once they kicked in was well worth the indignity of the initial examination!!!

Go to the doctor! I put up with them for a hole, then went and found out they were thrombosed (had blod clots in them) and needed treatment- over the counter stuff would never work. As surrounded said, well worth the indignity of the examination!

Yes get to the doctors. It's not worth the pain if you wait. Lots of fibre and laxatives to make your poo soft. Prune juice vile but good.

I am 3 weeks post partum and had exactly
The same issue. Episiotomy was a walk in the park compared to the piles! Baths , lying down (
To take off pressure) and regular pain killers. I personally
Found that even prescription stuff did naff all but they DO go down. I am now left with quite horrible skin tags ( tmi I know) but at least the pain has gone.
And wet wipes- only wipe that end with wet wipes- do.not. Use. Toilet. Paper!!!! Makes the world of difference to pain and healing. Hope they improve soon - had tons of sympathy. For me they were the worst part of giving birth and recovery!

Sit in a salty bath, it's painful at first but it worked for me. Also get hemaroid cream from gp.

Suppositories! Much better than cream alone IME
