Strange q alert! Emcs scar and hair removal

Had a terrible time in 2010 and had a emcs. At that time I was told if I ever had another baby, chances are it would be delivered by cs. We're trying again. One thing I'm very (stupidly) worried about and need some experienced advice.
I was orange level emcs which meant had an hour to prep for surgery due pre eclampsia. In that time I was dry shaved where the incision was to be. Didn't realise what was really happening at the time but I will know this time.

I cannot imagine shaving this area myself nor having it waxed as I feel a bit, well yuk About the scar and there are tiny bumps on it from the stitches.

So, what would you do? Is creaming safe before even going to hospital if cs planned?

Sorry if tmi but out of the whole thing this is what I'm losing sleep over, please advise lovely mumsnetters x

I had an EMCS too and know what you mean about the area being a bit yuk with regards to shaving. I've stopped hair removal totally....I don't care what anyone else thinks!

As for the hospital yes....I would cream it the day before...it should be fine...if you haven't done that before in that are, do a test patch first.

I can't see why cream would be a problem. Is your skin used to the cream? (I found it made my legs sore).

Strongecoffeeismydrug · 30/12/2013 18:01

I cream a few days before then if it's a bit sore it's got a few days to healWink.
No way are they coming after me with a dry razor like they did the first time Grin

Had a emcs first time and was shaved
Planned one for my second and shaved myself the day before and had nomproblems

I have my pre OP for ELCS in 10 days and was going to ask the same question Grin

Last time I was dry shaved. Might go for a normal wax and get them to wax a bit off the top? My old scar is quite high.

I had an elcs and was told to deal to the hair, MW suggested cream, and said I'd be dry shaved otherwise. Had to get DH to help out, couldn't see down there by 38 weeks!
