Lack of bladder sensation following C section

I had a C section a week ago and currently don't get the feeling of needing a wee. I can wee when I go and have no leaking, but i have to remember to go regularly.

Is this normal? Will I get the feeling back? It's not a huge problem but I was slightly concerned there might be nerve damage or something.

Yep. Same here. My c-section was 4 months ago and its come back partially now. I still can't feel quite a large area around my scar though

I didn't either but it's back now, six months on and everything is fine. I still have a little bit of numbness around the right side of my scar but only a tiny bit.

Nobody warned me about it though, I expected the skin to feel numb, but not the stuff underneath it if that makes sense?!

I also have a numb patch at the top of my left buttock, I guess from the spinal anaesthetic.

I'll mention the bladder thing to the midwife, I forgot to wee for ages today and I'm worried I have a UTI because it stings when I do wee. Going to drink lots tonight and hope I flush it out.

get it checked out for sure, do it quickly and maybe if you can go back to hospital try, its best to talk to te person who did you actual op if you can.

I had the same after both of my c-sections but, rather unhelpfully, I can't remember when the sensation did come back. It was definitely months rather than weeks though.
