Bleeding 6 weeks after delivery

I know it can last up to 6 weeks, but is it normal for it to stop & start? I've now had 2 weeks of old blood, no blood, red blood over a couple of days ??. In no pain although my fanny aches every so often but not in a painful way iykwim?! The ache doesn't mean I'll have red blood either, I can have old or none..... I had a 2nd degree tear. There's no smell either.

Yes it's normal to stop and start as it's petering out. Mine always lasted about 8 weeks too, not 6.
