34+4 and period pains during BH's

It's just my body gearing up for things, right? DH is slightly freaking out in case the baby comes early.
Last night I had slightly painful BH's about 7/8 mins apart for a while (less than an hour). Please tell me this is normal and that I'm not about to go into labour!!
(I should say this is dc2 so it's not like I haven't done it before, but ds is coming up to 7, so it's been a while!)

I would talk to your MW.

When I remarked to my MW at about that stage that I'd had some period pain, she told me I ought to have rung her when it happened as it might indeed be labour. (Sure enough, when I finally went into labour at 40w it felt like intense period pain, with no discernible contractions.)
