i am currently 32 weeks pg and will be having a elecs. seen a consultant already and agreed this as way forward. they said they would make me another appt at 36 weeks to set date/discuss further etc.
i had my appt thru ages ago but looking at the dates i will be just over 37 weeks..... consultant said they would aim to do section around 39 ish weeks.
if i am not being seen again till 37 weeks will this leave enough time to set date etc? i imagine they get v booked up.... should this not be done bit earlier eg 36 weeks or is 37 weeks the norm?

Very much the norm. Think about it they won't be booking other sections due the same time as you until the same week as you.

If they booked you at 36 weeks they'd book everyone else at 36 weeks so it would make no difference to being booked up or not. There will be space.

Yes it's normal and I had the same. Don't worry.

I wouldn't worry I'm getting a date for my section at my 36 week consultation but I will be 36.5 by thenGrin.
My last baby I saw consultant at 39 weeks due to a big baby and was booked in for a section the next day so they don't need long to plan it .
