3 Weeks Sine Birth - Lochia or Period?

Sorry, didn't know where else to post this. I had a c section 3 weeks ago, had lochia (not very heavy) for about a week and a half, then nothing. Today I had a brownish discharge after a week and a half of nothing, so bit freaked out and not sure what's going on. Anyone else experienced similar? Thanks.

I would suspect that it's still Lochia. Not had a cs, but my lochia lasted about 6 weeks and sometimes heavier than others. Mainly due to different levels of exertion. If its brown it's likely to be old blood probably just dislodged by something. Check that it doesn't smell nasty because that could be an infection and if you're at all concerned check with mw/hv/gp.

meant to say I was quite poorly post birth last time and my lochia was v light at first and only really came on strong after I was able to.move more.

Normal, I am exactly the same. Bleeding stopped and then couple weeks later brownish snotty stuff but stopped pretty quickly. I had terrible pains at the same time though and was terrified was something awful but midwife said completely normal.

Thanks guys, yes I have been more active the last few days and getting out a bit more, so maybe it's just that. Am getting crampy pains, but it's probably just the last of it coming away. Thanks again.

I had an ELCS, only bled for about 2 weeks. Then got my period after 5 weeks!

I had an EMCS and bled for almost 6 weeks. Lovely! I expect it's Lochia.

I've had two c-sections and had lochia on and off as late as 8 weeks before the bleeding stopped entirely, and only returned with my cycles (was exclusively breastfeeding) at 9 months. I'd have a break of a week or so at times, then it would pop up again. Drove me batty needing a pad "just in case" all the time, especially at night!
