Hi
Am 31 weeks pg with DC3.
Would really love a HB.
Am totally not feeling the love from my midwife.
Just 'you might end up on your own', can't promise you'll get g&a...' type excuses.
I'm under the Royal Berkshire hospital but had last one in Wallingford MLU.
As I have two other small DC's to think of and lasts labour was only 2 hours was thinking if I can manage a HB it'll be amazing on all counts.
Just wondering what other people's experiences of Berkshire HB's were and how you managed it. And where (roughly) you live?
There is a 'planned HB telephone number on the blurb I've been given but its not the number I've been told to ring...

I'm not from your area but the things your mw has said are confusing. Does she mean she may not get to you in time? If so that's a risk with fast labours, even if registered for hospital birth. In my area the mw on call comes to your house with a kit of supplies that includes gas and air and if you're in established labour, she doesn't leave until either the baby is born, or a shift change. It would be really irresponsible to leave you alone or to not bring their supplies.
