Internal stitches after childbirth

DS was born on Friday. During the birth, my uterus ruptured and I needed a lot of internal stitches. Today when I'm moving around I can feel sharp shooting pains that I think are my stitches. I'm not bleeding heavier or passing clots or anything but should I be concerned?

Congratulations!

I had internal stitches after dc2, but had undergone emergency surgery, too so I had lots of wounds and couldn't really tell which set hurt iyswim. Your midwife should be in touch with you, and I would definitely ask them. If in doubt speak to your GP or maternity unit. It is probably fine, but I wouldn't take the chance. The (external) stitches I had for dc1's birth twinged a lot!
