Maybe early labour??

So I'm thinking I might be in the early stages of labour, but wondered what you lovely ladies with more experience think as this is my first Smile.

Last night I was noticing period type pains but quite spaced apart. DH said to note the time at one point so I did and they were an hour apart. We went to sleep and during the night I woke a couple of times to a couple more pains but 2-3hrs apart (I continued to make notes on my phone).

This morning since waking at 8.53 I've been having these period type pains no more than 15 mins apart. We decided to start timing them too and since 10.20am they've been about 8mins apart lasting about 1min at a time.

I'd like it to speed up but knowing it's even the start of something would be good still.

I called the CMU, I know you don't go in until 4 mins apart but I just wanted to see if they thought it a good sign or whatever. I was told it probably isn't because I've not taken paracetamol but I'm actually good at handling pain and try to avoid taking things if I can.

What do you all think? Could this be something? How can I speed it up? I'll feel stupid if it doesn't kick off now Sad

Sounds like it. Are you full term? If so try and ramp it up walking, bouncing nipple stimulation/pumping or sex!

I didn't take paracetamol either. Mainly cos I had none in the house...
Keep active and upright, bounce on a swiss ball, go for a walk (but perhaps stick to a circuit so you're not too far from home Wink) You can also try walking up the stairs sideways as it helps to open the pelvis.

Good luck!

I had them yesterday, on and off all day. Today thankfully it's all stopped (have section booked for Tuesday, hence the relief!).
Good luck x
