am I still bleeding from giving birth almost 6 weeks ago?

The past few days I haven't really bled as such, Its been quite brown and very light and nothing when I wipe so I assumed it was old blood. But today I've started to bleed quite heavy and its bright red again. But there has been a couple of times when I thought my bleeding had stopped and I started again so I'm not sure!?

My period started 6 weeks after I had my son.. And I was breastfeeding. It could be your period.

Keep an eye, on pains, fever etc and maybe ask a MW or HV advice, but it could def be your period. Good luck and congratulations on your little baby !xx

I'm weaning atm, but haven't yet dropped all his feeds so hes still having breastmilk. Today it really felt like it was my period because I had what I thought, was period pains. achy vagina

I came home and tonight and my pants were covered in blood but had stopped bleeding, and about 20 mins later, its all started again. So confused!

I had the flu on tues as well, not sure if that will change anything. I see the HV on Monday so I'll ask her.

And thank you :)

Yep. Mine started 5/6 weeks after birth. Hmm
Someone then told me if you are bigger (NOT insinuating you are at all but I am was) periods start back again quicker.

Well, yeah I think it is.. I've been having more period pains today and still bleeding. Oh this is one thing I didn't miss when I was pregnant!
