Been having contractions since 7, seem to be getting more painful yet not any closer together... Since it looks like I'm in for the long haul - whats keeping you up?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SmallBee · 24/11/2013 03:29

Congratulations! Are you at home or hospital?
I was induced so I had my whole experience at hospital I felt like I missed out on the excitement of therm starting naturally.
I'm bring kept end up by feeding my 6 week old (who is asleep while feeding)-it's your future!

lchats · 24/11/2013 03:34

Ahh I've had the pleasure of both now - was induced with dd1 so know that drama and now at home waiting for things to get really uncomfortable! Don't worry u didn't miss out on much apart from the worry about when to go in!

I was glad to miss out on that part, I'm really indecisive as it is! My DP works about 40/50 mins away as well so I was glad to have to avoid the panicked 'come home now!' Phone call.
How is everyone in your house handling you going into labour?

GoodnessKnows · 24/11/2013 03:44

Hope you're doing okay!

Mumrose · 24/11/2013 03:49

Sending lots of good wishes your way Smile

My Insomnia is keeping me upHmm

MiserableCowWhenUpTheDuff · 24/11/2013 03:50

Ooh good luck...

I'm being kept awake by the hope that I may go into labour! 41 weeks today and will be induced next Friday if she hasn't arrived!

I would stay at home as long as you possibly can.

Good luck again xx

lchats · 24/11/2013 03:53

Good luck! Jealous as I'm broody for no.2. Though heaven knows why since I was just crying from tiredness at being up with teething DD!! Grin

lchats · 24/11/2013 03:56

God know that feeling miserable cow - I'm 40+5 and have struggled to sleep with labour on the horizon, now can't believe it has started ... Close to freaking out : /

lchats · 24/11/2013 03:58

GiraffesAndButterflies · 24/11/2013 04:07

Thanks chats I am trying to tell myself that!!

Just think soon you will be having snuggly newborn cuddles Grin how are those contractions?

lchats · 24/11/2013 04:09

Painful! But not frequent about every 8 mins - quite scared about how bad they feel now at this 'early' stage Confused

MiserableCowWhenUpTheDuff · 24/11/2013 04:10

Don't freak out, remember you are likely to get more sleep with a newborn than in these last few weeks of being pregnant.

I feel a ridiculous sense of excitement for you being in labour... You are going to meet your bubba soon! That's ace :-) xx

lchats · 24/11/2013 04:14
