How stupid am I to be doing this?

Ok I am 38+2 and I have got tickets to go to the doctor who convention on Friday Tardis yes I'm a geek and no I don't care but baby has dropped and feels like she's right in my pelvis, the tiredness has ramped up big time and quite frankly I wanna cry cos I don't know if I'm up to it. I really wanna go but I'm concerned I'm gonna go into labour or something.
I've been having braxton hicks for ages but they are also ramping up a bit though obviously not regularly and my back hurts mildly. I have no signs of labour but am I daft to be contemplating it? Oh and I went into labour with ds 4 days early.

I just carried on as normal.

Make sure you have your notes with you and you know where the nearest hospital is if you have quick labours.

Schedule plenty of rests into your day, am sure it will be fine.

i'd do it as long as you feel up to it on the day. do you have someone going with you?

QuietNinjaTardis · 20/11/2013 19:49

Yep Dh is coming with me. Got my notes and labour bag packed which can stay in the car. I'm gonna have to do it aren't I? It's not the 50th anniversary every day Grin is it? Lots of rest breaks and don't go mad.
Maybe they'll me have a nap in the tardis or something.

maybe if you go into labour (or even better HAVE the baby there) they'll give you some kind of fantastic present?
like... a baby tardis or a visit from all the dr whos, or or or ...

How far from home is it? I've bailed on a planned outing that we do every year because I will be 38 weeks :( but I am regretting it now and considering trying for last minute tickets!! As I'm 33 weeks gone now and still completely capable of doing pretty much everything I normally do, plus will have done 3 weeks of mat leave by then! Only thing that freaks me out a bit is if waters went or something :/

urtwistingmymelonman · 21/11/2013 06:06

surely if they have the tardis there they can teleport you straight to the hospital cant they?

Noodles, the problem is we are travelling back down south to stay with pil so they can look after ds for the day while we go to convention in London. So we've got to travel 180. Miles today and then up t London in morning. We are then staying til Monday morning and coming back home with my mum as well so she's here to look after ds when I go into labour.
I am officially mental though turnips you're right, I've got nothing to worry about have I? Tardis Tardis Tardis
