Anyone found a GIANT tap adaptor to fill a birth pool with..?

My flipping bath mixer tap is humungous - 1.5" wide ('swan-neck' old-fashioned stylee) x 0.5" deep, and I cannot, for love nor money, find a tap/hose adaptor big enough.

This means that I probably won't be able to labour and give birth in my Eco Mini Birth Pool in a Box, because all other taps/means of filling will almost certainly be too slow (last labour was 3 hrs) - only this bath tap is capable of chucking it out hot & fast enough.

Has anyone come across what I'm looking for? I fear it doesn't actually exist Confused

We were in the same boat and ended up filling from a downstairs loo which has a single tap that wasn't as wide. It did mean trailing the pipes upstairs but by keeping pipes in the pool created an automatic way of emptying it (without sucking the end!nice!) good luck

my last labour was 48 minutes and we managed to fill the pool from the regular old kitchen tap!

make sure you turn up the thermostat on your hot water so that the hot is really, really hot, that way you;ll need less of it (iyswim?) and more cold. so less chance of running out of hot.

does that make sense?
