OK Help is this for real after 2 false alarms I'm not sure????????

Help please.

Think I'm in labour, since 6:10p.m. been conctracting every hour! BUT had 2 false alarms already. The last I went straight into every 15 minutes and stopped after an hour of every 2/3 mins!

Now I'm not sure whether I am as last time I was induced and it was very different as I went straight into non stop contractions.

Told I could go very quickly this time but now I'm not sure as I wasn't expecting every hour and worried I will get to every 2/3 minutes again and everything will stop again.

If still every hour not expecting another contraction till 9:15 but very period painy at moment.

sounds like very early stages. keep track of them is the best. are you due today

With my second Birth i had contraction hourly through the night. I always thought it was mad when people said they slept between contraction but i did. I kept waking up cramping but with a strange sense of calm.
By morning i knew it was starting for real and she was born pretty sharpish then.

Ring your Hospital and let them know anyway and just wait and see i guess.

ohh really exciting stuff. Just keep a check on how often they are. How far is the hospital from you?

as hard as its going to sound....dont panic.
even if your in labour the hospital wont need contacting until the contractions are about every 5 mins, your waters break or you start feelinga very strong pain in the base of your back.

Don't hang about if it gets at all painful. With my 2nd I was in pre-labour for weeks - loads of regular contractions but nothing painful - then all of a sudden I had a really strong one and dd arrived 45 minutes later!

I'm due the 21st, and am only 10 minutes from the hospital (not rush hour!!!). Will keep a check, its the childcare problem as during the night not a problem but during the day could take 2 hours to get my parents here so need to give some warning!!!!

well went to bed and woke this morning ache but no contractions, guess this was false alarm no 3.

jersey, just remember that it isn't really a false alarm. your body/uterus is getting ready for labour.
you are a step closer to having your baby
maybe even today....
now go back to bed....

Just think of each false alarm as a positive thing that softens & stretches your cervix just that little bit.

This isn't your third is it? I'm sure there was a thread on here about third labours being more stop/start.

Thanks would love to go back to bed but I have an energetic DS who will be 2 on monday to look after plus the ironing etc to get done just in case I do go into labour soon. At the midwife this afternoon as well and then hospital visiting my mil who is in with a luekemia related illness. Just looking forward to having some energy sometime !

Hi Still here, still feel like period pains on and off, and loads of pressure, but still nothing!! BP went up last few days and went for check in triage but everything ok.

Just be my luck I will go tonight or tomorrow and have both sons born on the 17th as its DS's 2nd birthday tomorrow.
