Hi, as post is labelled im a first time mum and im not sure if i am having signs of early labour. I have been having period cramps, been nesting and have had a headache all day as well as feeling generally sick. i am sorry to say but i have also just experienced loose bowels. Does this mean i could be getting ready to give birth. Oh i forgot to say im 38+4 days.

Yep, this is how I started! Good luck, and don't worry about the ironing. The baby won't notice Wink

Louh12 enjoy it because it is the last time you will iron her clothes, I promise you that :)

OhBabyLilyMunster · 13/11/2013 21:14

Sounds incredibly promising....

It sounds like it!

If you start getting contractions a warm bath really helped me, and you can take paracetamol for the period like pains.

Good luck!

Good luck! Make sure you're resting too!

It sounds like it but this could go on for a few more weeks too, stopping and starting, however don't lose heart as it all helps to soften and thin the cervix.
