Had my steriod shot keeping me in because im 2.5cm dialated. This is my first baby and im 32+3 having contractions but the drugs are slowing them now and was wondering has anyone gone into premature labour and ended up giving birth full term? If not when did you give birth?

Hi Chelsea, I haven't but wanted to
bump your post. I've read lots of positive stories of premature labour being stopped and at much earlier stages of pregnancy than yours. I will be keeping everything crossed for you, at least your at the best place now and being looked after.

Hi chelsea, no experience here but my mum went into labour early on two different pregnancies at 29 & 25wks and she got to 37 & 39 weeks respectively (21 & 18 years ago).
A woman I know, last year, started at 33 and got to 36wks (and her ds had a two night stay in hosp, just for observation).

Fingers crossed the drugs work.
Hope they're looking after you fantastically and you're out, on bedrest, still pregnant asap. X

Hi sweetie. Hope you are ok still?

my nephew was born at 33 weeks due to pre eclampsia and is a gobby 15 year old now. And my dp was born at 32 weeks 40 odd years ago and is a big strapping bloke snoring away at the side of me.

So try not to worry if she comes early. Hope you have some support from home, know you are going through a rough time of it. Xxx

Not quite as prem as you but started contracting at 36 weeks and 2cm dilated and I lasted till my due date and she came naturally :) x

Hi, I went into pre labour at 32 weeks and had steroid injections etc and went full term Even had to be induced in the end!
Good luck

ThePigOfHappiness · 08/11/2013 13:10

Starting contracting at 28 weeks and had steroids etc. I had a bleed every 4weeks after that, and in the end had to be induced at 41 weeks!
I know how scary it is, but even I'd baby is born soon, the steroids are great and there are very good outcomes for prem babies
Good luck

Full on regular hard contractions at 34 weeks which stalled. I did have her at 35w5d BUT.. that was by EMCS following a failed induction because I was showing signs of infection following a hindwater leak. There had been no sign of labour restarting.

Mine started at 30 weeks and I was told I would deliver imminently. I had the steroids etc but the contractions stopped eventually. I'm currently coming up to 42 weeks and may need to be induced! Please try not to worry - it's not an exact science by a long shot! X
