Braxton Hicks causing severe lower back pain

.......does this mean I'm likely to have a labour full of back pain?

My first labour was quite easy and not too painful. All the pain was in front and just like strong period pains which I found pretty easy to handle. Was hoping for the same again however I am now freaking out as over the last week or so I have had some incredibly painful back spasms of pain accompanying some braxton hicks.
I'm feeling really scared, if this labour involves pains like these I am not going to cope! I can barely cope with these and I'm definitely not in labour yet.

Please reassure me or give me some coping ideas, I need some mental strength I think.

Thanks! !

I had high braxton hicks and a back labour, so i don't think the 2 are necessarily connected. My TENS was a godsend and I would highly recommend it.

Thank you for replying, I hadn't even thought of TENS but that is a great suggestion. Did you buy one? I don't feel like I have a huge amount of time to sort one out, I feel like things are going to kick off soon.

Lloyds chemist should have them in stock Smile

I'm 38+5, had my 1st at 37 weeks. Baby is really low, been having loads of twinges for days now. Would like to get my hands on a TENS asap now I think, just for piece of mind!

Baby was back to back at last appt, pretty sure it still is.

Will check out Lloyds, thanks.
