Woke up about 1.30 with fairly bad cramping, stomach going quite tight, mild cramps constantly but seem to peak for 30 secs - 1 min or so, i am 33 weeks pg, been painful enough for me to end up crying and am obviously out of bed.Tummy muscles feel a bit tender from the tightening.

What do you think? The main worry is i am having a elective section, and obviously only 33 weeks....help please.

Ihave thought I was in labour with three of mine between 35 and 38 weeks only to find it was false alarms - it could just be a practice run. make a cup of tea (or whatever relaxes you) and know that if you can drift off back to sleep you'll; be woken if its the real thing. why are you electing a section - would it be a problem if you are in labour?

pucca · 07/07/2006 03:47

AS...Having a section due to a 3rd degree tear with my dd and ongoing probs following that.

oooohh - had a friend who elected for a c section cos of that - she was in pain for ages after birth of ds1. soory - can't help with that - I had four - but none of them were too bad - on the positive side i am awake.
How are you doing... do you have a do there.. is dd1 asleep , still contracting?

apronstrings · 07/07/2006 03:50

sorry a dp or dh there not a do!!!!

pucca · 07/07/2006 03:53

I didn't actually ask for a section, i just went with what the consultant advised, yes still got pains, dd is up with me as she woke up with the heat.

Hi i am still here, the pains wore off about 6am, but my tummy feels tender and still have a few niggles. God knows what last night was all about, panicked me though! The pains were really bad for a couple of hours, couldn't sit down with them anyway...kept thinking braxton hicks but surely they shouldn't be that painful?

Thanks for all the replies

Hi Pucca,

Glad you're ok

Can't advise on Braxton Hicks, are they supposed to hurt that much?? Good that your LO is hanging on fo a bit.
