perineal massage & oils

As I'm sure every one wants to avoid as much intervention as possible, I would love to give the old perineal massage a good blast -

Can any one recommend any really good oils intended for this use - I cant seem to find any one who has actually tried it around here.

Any one?

Have a read at the following
try this

Am trying this myself at the mo (37 wks with first baby), not particulary comfortable, but hopefully will be of benefit. I'm just using some cheap olive oil (best to save cold pressed extra virgin for salad dressing )

Thank you for the link - I've read all that, but I wanted to buy some yummy nice oils - as my other half has kindly offered to take on task as chief massager - and i wanted to sort of, welll --- make the whole experience a bit nicer, rather than smelling like a bowl of salad.

Using other oils is all very well, but don't forget, they will be going internally so there aren't a lot of options unless you want side effects that could be painful!

Someone I spoke to about this used vitamin E oil. You can get it from Holland & Barrett, apparently.
