and did you feel baby drop in the pelvis? i felt what felt like him wiggling in my pelvis... and feel pressure against my tailbone...
have a few niggling aches in my back since then, but thats it.

this is baby no.4 btw. i was induced with all 3 dcs so i have no idea what to expect with a natural onset of labour. i cant even remember most of the pain with dd 4 years ago. so how did it start off with everyone else? x

It felt:

Twingey and "erm is this something"?

Progressed to period pain type feelings and like someone was putting hot pokers in my hip joints.

And lots of show.

A few days of period type pain, just a background ache that suggested something was on the way. A show in the middle of it all.

Then one morning I had a massive, cliched contraction which actually made me laugh! Then several hours of much softer, less painful contractions, painless enough for it to take me a few hours to be sure they were regular and things definitely had started.

By mid afternoon it was definitely labour!

But if this is DC4, I imagine it will be a lot quicker Grin Just keep an eye on the times - it might not be that painful, especially not compared to induced contractions, but if its regular than it probably is labour.

didn't feel any drop particularly close to the beginning of labour, ,my lot were well down by that time

very first feelings were like strong braxton hicks... gradually became stronger and more painful

had back pain with ds2 as he was OP
