early with 1st dc and late with 2nd - how likely is this?

as the title says, I had my first dc at 36.5. I am now 38.4 and fed up waiting - never experienced the wait before and keep hoping something will happen imminently. .

Older nephew was 10 days early, younger one was a week or more late I'm afraid, hopefully your baby will be along soon but you won't be pregnant forever (even if it feels like it!)

Dc1 a couple of days before 40w, dc2&3 41w.
According to my mum, db 39w, me 42w, dsis 37w.

Not as big a gap as that, but DC1 was one day early, DC2 was nine days late - and I'd had false labour with her from a day or two before her due date, so by the time it really got started I was seriously fed up.

Hope you don't have to wait too much longer.

I started labour with DC1 on his due date (OK he took 3 days to arrive but...) DD was 12 days late. I had expected her to be early for some reason so by the time she arrived I felt as though I had been pg for an extra month. You have my sympathy - fingers crossed is will arrive soon

Dc1 was 10 days early, Dc2 was 10 days late. I was climbing the walls with boredom/impatience

For me DC1 was 14 days overdue, Dc2 came on due date ( and arrived 20 mins after going to hospital after having some random contractions) and then DC3 was again 14 days overdue.
This isn't any help I know but they come when they want to, no matter how much bloody pineapple or curry or raspberry leaf tea you consume.

Other way round but DCs 1 and 2 were 5 and 4 days late then DC3 gave us a shock by being 4 weeks early! Anything can happen!
