Hi all. My dd2 was born by emer section due to a haemorrhage at 36 wks caused by placenta praevia. At work the other day ( im a midwife) and i dealt with a girl with grade 2 (quitemild) placenta previa. It brought back dreadful memories for me, since then im struggling to sleep. Has anyone else had placenta praevia and what is your experience of it. Mines was grade 4 xxxx

I had grade 4 and spent over 7 weeks in hospital (in Ireland). A few big bleeds but staff were fantastic. Baby delivered by section at 38 weeks. I've since had a second baby and was nervous of it happening again for childcare reasons - placenta was low again but not serious.
Its a bit of a waiting game - I just kept crossing off the days and willing the baby to get to 38 weeks.
