Ha a sweep this morning, midwife said I was 2cm dilated and very favourable. Fast forward to now and for the last hour or more have been having lots of pressure and slight pain in the bottom of my back and lower tummy. These are coming every 2-5 minutes and last for about 30 seconds.

I Am getting a bit worried though as husband is 45 minutes away and working all day. Feels a bit like contractions with first but I was induced then.

What do you think should I ring the birth centre to let them know?

Sounds like it could be but. Give the centre a call so they are aware you may be on your way to them if things progress

And get your dh home!

I would definitely call the birthing centre and your dh failing that give your mw a call She will prob be able to judge how far along you are just from your voice. I left it ages with my second and just about got to the hospital! Confused

It was it! Baby girl born this afternoon at 3:30pm. Went into hospital at 8 last night and was 3cm then got sent home at midnight as I was still 3cm. Thought I was imagining labour pain all night and morning but managed to get a fair bit of sleep. Came back in at half 1 this afternoon at 7cm to my happiness. Baby born two hours later. 8pounds8, so quite big but not as big as my first -9pound7!
