Induction after c section

Anyone been induced after previous c section and had a natural delivery? Do they even induce after a section or if baby is too overdue do they just do a repeat c section? I'm bound to be overdue again and want a normal delivery this time.

i had first baby cs as i was 2 weeks over due, i was hopping for normal birth but my second son was over due is well so they put me for an other cs. i am now 3 month pregnant for my 3rd baby and hope it will be normal birth even if i am not sure if they will allow it or not.

I am expecting baby 2 any day now and had emcs last time. Hoping for vbac this time. My midwife told me that inductions after cs are "gentle" ones i.e. not with the full range /strength of drugs which might be used for first birth to reduce the risk of scar rupture. She said because of this the inductions don't always work and so some consultants prefer to go straight to elcs if you go overdue rather than trying to induce. Have you got a consultant for thisspregnancy? I would ask him / her their view.

Yep I have a consultant. So I think what I'll do is attempt a vbac and if I'm more than a week overdue go for a section. Don't want to risk a rupture and I have no doubt a 'gentle induction' will NOT work as the reason I had a section the first time was because 4 shots of the gel didn't even dilate me enough to break my waters! And that was at 10 days over!

My consultant has said they do not advise induction via pessary for previous cs mums, due to an increased risk of scar rupture due to the sudden onset of strong contractions. They will however do things to augment such as ARM.

I don't want to be induced either, so have agreed an elcs date for T+16 with daily monitoring for each of the 3 days prior. In the hope I will go naturally before then.
