When you would bother GP?

I had an EMCS nearly 16 weeks ago. Fairly textbook recovery, was up and about quickly and was back to normal by 6-7 weeks. However this morning I have woken up to an ache on one side of the scar, and when I got dressed I lifted my left leg up to put my underwear on and it felt like someone had stabbed me right where the scar is....and now it hurts so much I can'tove without being in pain. I've taken some ibuprofen in the hope it will ease the pain, but was wondering if this was a common ailment after a c-section, and maybe just pulled a muscle this morning - or is this something I need to bother my GP with tomorrow?

TIA....

Sounds like you have pulled an adhesion (a bit of scar tissue). It will probably get better with rest & pankillers. Also consider hot or cold pack as you prefer.

I'd see how it goes and if it doesn't get better go to your GP as it could be an adhesion (bad) or a knot of scar muscle (not bad just sore, mine). I waited a year before going and wish I'd gone sooner. My GP recommended pilates and it worked a treat, up until I got pregnant again!

Thanks for the replies. Painkillers seem to be working (as is rest!). Will have a warm bath tonight and see how I am in the morning (will also google adhesions so I know what to be aware of).
