Contractions????

Hi everyone

I know to you MN experienced lot this may seem a bit silly....BUT

What do contractions feel like? I have been having period pains and a really bad back for ages and i had my show thing last week.

Also, I have randomly had squeezy pains 'down below' but not regular.

PS i missed my antenatal classes cos i was in hospital so i didnt go...)

TIA ladies any advice recomended!!!!

Oooh you're in labour! How exciting! I had my show on th etues and babe was born on the thurs. When's your dd?

How many weeks are you? Could be early labour, but that can go on for a while.... days... and in my case 2 weeks!

Good thing was though, when I finally DID get proper contractions I was already 4cm dilated.

Sounds like contractions to me although you can never be quite sure until they are regular.

Mine started with really really bad back ache from first thing in the morning but the contractions weren't regular untill the following morning.

Have you had braxton hicks? I had them lots, and for me, labour was just the same but more intense. I did not have a sore back at all, but a lot of women do, I think usually if the baby is back to back. The squeezy pains down below is also a good sign, prob the head engaging?

Im 35 weeks so could be a while...

Every time i go owww my DP looks at me with a look of pure panic in eyes....hahaha

Koshka - I had my show at 35wks and back ache, sore braxton hicks etc.... sitting on the birthing ball every other night with a nervous H watching me go "ooo" every 10 mins!!

dd arrived at 39 wks though!
