Pain 7 months after Caesarean

Has anybody out there suffered from pain months after having a Caesarean? I went to the doctor when I got sudden pain 5 months after, and was told this was due to the scar tissue contracting. It's become very painful again 7 months later...is this normal?!

Well I have had 2 c-sections and no pain after 2 months - I even opened my internal wound doing too much. I would go back to your gp.

I had my 2nd section over 4 years ago and I still get pains on the scar, its only on one side.
A scan revealed it was a cyst that was causing the pain as it passed the scar tissue each month (possible PCOS)

I suffered with bad pain for a good two years after my section, and I still get twinges now (and dd is 5). You can get nerve damage as well as the scar tissue contracting.

Go back and get it checked out to put your mind at rest, but it isn't unusual to get pain for quite a while afterwards.

Thanks for getting back to me :-) I might well go back to the docs...I felt a bit of a moaning ninny last time as he suggested the pain was to be expected. First baby and also first op ever so I had no idea what's normal!

What's a PCOS?

Really?! Pain/discomfort for so long? Wow, I had no idea!

PCOS is polycystic ovarian syndrome, instead of producing an egg, a cyst is produced.
