Another "what to do after 3rd degree tear" thread

I know theres been loads of these but here it goes. Dd is 3.3 and I had a 3a tear (and mrop and pph and rectocele) which was stitched in theatre immediately. Turns out this was crap stitching as it never healed and I ended up paying privately three months later to be restitched and have the rectocele (minor) repaired. Worst part? Steroid injections in my fanjo for a few weeks after shudder. But I've never had any continence issues - touch wood.

Anyway, fast forward to now. I'm 7+2 with dc2 and want to be ready to spout my concerns about this delivery at my booking in appointment . In a nutshell, I don't want to go through labour again. It's too traumatising even now. Whats the likelihood of being granted an elcs or will I have to go private to be heard?

I was told by Gynae who did my re-stitching and complete fanjo renovation (ow ow ow) 2 years after my 3rd degree tear that if I had another baby it would be a section. Never had another but that's what he said at the time. You need to get in front of a consultant xxx good luck and stand your ground xxx

I healed really well and never had any pain/problems but I have always been told I would be given the choice to have a CS when it comes to DC2.

I had a 3b tear with my first, the consultant (& mw) looked at my notes and suggested a section with my second. I went for the section, the recovery was easier for me.
