Bleeding after cesarean

I had my second section 6 weeks ago ( tomorrow). and I am still bleeding. It seems to stop for a few days and then returned quite heavily, now slowing down again. is it normal to bleed for this long?

I definatly bled for at least 6 weeks after mine, but if it's heavy bleeding I would check it out just in case. Mine was quite heavy like a period for weeks though.
Congratulations on your little ceasar!

Cori I was just the same - mw told me I was doing too much and to try to rest more - as if lol. Mine ended at 8 weeks with both sections. Take Care xx

I can't remember, but I know it got worse if I did 'too much'

I bled for about 12 weeks, but I had an infection and was on a/b's from about 8 weeks. Might be worth mentioning to GP. Have you had your p/n check yet?
