In latent phase but pains have disappeared :(

Just a frustrated moan really. Every time DP and I have DTD in the past few weeks I've ended up with a night of false labour with regular contractions five mins apart.

Happened again last night but felt a lot more painful than before so I went in to delivery suite, midwife said I'm in latent phase, 2-3cm dilated and she gave me a sweep. Pains continued until 2:30am, had bloody show and lots of plug since, but am back to good old fashioned non-painful BH!

Starting to think contractions won't return until I DTD again, which is the last thing I feel like doing. Going to try some cleaning and walking in between resting, but have a feeling I'm going nowhere fast :(.

Come out baby!!!

I'd stop trying to trick your body into going into labour and let it do it when it is ready.

This is because your baby might not yet be in the optimal position yet. If you leave it to nature, it is likely to be faster and less painful when it does happen.

Yes I agree, I've decided not to DTD or nipple stimulation again for this reason. Just going to let it come on naturally, hoping not to be waiting too long!
