Did anyone else tear in the days after childbirth?

hi
I had DC2 two weeks ago, after a relatively straightforward birth and with just a small graze which didn't need stitching. I was so happy as the birth of DC1 3 years ago was pretty brutal, ending up in an episiotomy and forceps - and a long healing period afterwards

Anyway 3 days after the birth of DC2, I was in pain and losing fresh blood. Was too terrified to look but a hastily arranged private Gynae appointment confirmed that I had a new tear - and that it was along the old scar tissue from the episiotomy 3 years ago. Apparently this was weakened during labour and by the drop in oestrogen caused by BF. I was then started on 2 courses of antibiotics as the tear was looking infected

It is still very sore now and I'm terrified that my whole insides are about to either fall out or rot away!! if the wound an reopen 3 years later what state will the tissue be in and will it ever heal properly? And does this mean no more vaginal births??

Has anyone else been in this situation - and if so, how long did it all take to heal

Thanks in advance
