I had ds 12 days ago and have been breastfeeding which we are now getting settled into. However if i feed from one boob the other leaks and going too long between feeds i leak. I seem to be producing too much milk. Can I do anything to help stop this? or will it work itself out? Ds is dc2 and bfeeding much easier to get established this time which is a relief! But wet patches on shirt going through breast pads not so much!!!!

I found I leaked quite badly in the first month with DC2 and went through so many pads. After that it seemed to regulate and I never needed pads at all. Hopefully it will get better for you too.

You can buy cup things to slip in whilst feeding, they were a god send for me, I could leak 4-6oz from the opposite side whilst feeding!

me too . . . .

nice to hear it tapers off!

All totally normal! Dd is 10 months and now I just feed her morning and night, and the leaking from the opposite boob when feeding only stopped a short time ago. It will all settle down in time.

Well done on the baby and the feeding :-)
