am 40+4. had an emergency c section with dd in aug 2004. was told by gynacologist(sp) that they wouldnt let me over 40 weeks due to strain on scar or they wouldnt induce me. which i was happy with, but would like to try natural labour, but if needed a section again that ok, as long as baby is fine.
so tue past had weekly check up at clinic. she said they will leave me 10 days and induce me, which is completely different to what i was told before.i told her i wasnt happy with being induced and was sure that i was told i wouldnt be.
really p'd off that they are doing different to what i was told.
not sure what to do. any ideas? its really upsetting me, as i dont want to bring strain to scar, have huge bump. also want to make sure my baby is well. starting to wish i just asked for elective section from start.

Is there any reason to think that there might be a problem with the c/s scar? I'm not aware of anything that says it's more at risk after 40w than it is before then.

WRT induction, I wouldn't accept some types of induction, but things like sweeps / ARM can be OK if you are looking favourable.

Are you worried about the baby for any particular reason? Is it not moving as much? I'm sure if you mention this to the MW, they could do more monitoring to set your mind at rest.

Hope things kick off for you naturally ASAP :)
