I was in labour for 48 hours with DS and he ended up having to be dragged out with forceps after 2 failed attempts with the vontouse.
I am 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and really want a natural delivery but have read that may people end up having to have a c section after a forceps delivery. Would love to hear your experiences.

I had forceps with dd1 following a v long, exhausting labour, epidural etc.

just Gas and Air with dd2. just me dh and 2 midwives in the room. Labour lasted about 12 hours this time. Don't worry about it, its v likely you'll do fine.

I was same first time every drug in the book and forceps second time naturally and quickly.

Second time much easier for me too. Bit of a tear (lots of scar tissue) but SO much less painful afterwards. Relax!

had lovely home birht 2nd time after nightmare lenghty labour, failed ventouse then forceps 1st so there is hope! didn't know there's any more likelihood that you have c/s or forceps again if had forceps 1st time, not sure this is true.

I had a similar first labour to you pinkmagic but DS2 slipped out after only 2 hours and 3 pushes Grin
