Why won't the midwife do it?

juice - why on earth do you want a sweep? I think this is one of the worst practices that has crept in recently. If your body is ready to go inot labout it will do it. They are i=only of benefit as a last resort to induction of labour TBH. Often women who have had sweeps too early end up admitted to hospital with abdominal cramp and episodes of bleeding but not labour. Sex is much more effective than a sweep.

I agree with mears just let your body do its thing.
