Help - engaged head in second pregnancy

This is the first time I have posted so sorry if I get it wrong!
I am 37 weeks pregnant with second baby (dd 2 on Thursday) and my gp has told me the head is engaged - does this mean labour is imminent?!
Please can anyone who knows or has experience of this let me know whether it is likely to be hours/days/weeks!!
Huge thanks
C

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

DD1's head was engaged at 32 weeks and was born at 39 weeks, dd2's head did'nt engage until i was in labour, she was born at 40 weeks.
I was told your second may not engage until just before labour so maybe the end is near!
Good luck cane!

I'm not an expert, but I'm sure that they can pop in and out of being engaged in a second or subsequent pregnancy.

Why don't you join us on the \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=2290&threadid=180081\due in July thread}, as there's bound to be someone going through this on there!
