ELCS with first baby due to Tokophobia. Considering second baby?

Ok so my baby is nearly 10mo now. Bit of background- I have extremely severe tokophobia, and have done for years. I don't know how I managed to have a baby but thankfully I did as she is wonderful Smile. But pregnancy was incredibly difficult for me, to say the least. I did have a very understanding consultant who agreed to me having an ELCS under GA, and it all went to plan and it was great.

I'm now starting to wonder about having a second baby at some point. I would love to have another child and so would DH. But I know how hard it would be with my phobia and it the one thing putting me off. I just wondered if any of you here had been in the same position as me, has anyone had a second baby after having tokophobia the first time round? If you had a ELCS because of it, were you allowed the same again? Any stories or experiences, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks

What is tokophobia?

It's phobia of childbirth Bentley. Apparently I have the worst case my consultant had ever seen! Lol DH joked they'll use me as a case study for textbooks

Yep - elcs with spinal for 1st dc, for mh reasons - same for 2nd dc 3 years later.

Was great both times. When I found I was pregnant 2nd time round I just rang the consultant I had dealt with first time round and arranged a meeting, so I didn't have to go through a different set of community mws and explain myself all over again (had a great community mw 1st time round, but moved house and couldn't get her again).

The issue of 'did I want to try for vb' was raised briefly, firmly dismissed! and that was that, I had it agreed around 22 weeks I think.

Rain thank you, I'm glad to hear that and glad it went well for you both times.

See I was wondering about trying to see my consultant again before I even try to get pregnant again. To ask if they will allow the same as before....

Not for same reasons, but having had one section I was given the option this time. CS or VB, totally my choice. Just due to having had a prior cs
