Hello,
I've been booked to be induced on Tuesday. When I arrived at hospital they said I will not be able to leave unless I leave with the baby. So I had a propess but it didn't work. I was allowed to rest for 24 hours (still at hospital as baby had to be monitored). Then I had a gel inserted in evening which didn't make much difference. At 1am I had another dose of gel which gave me fairly strong but irregular contractions... In early hours doctor came to examine me and said I might need the 3rd dose of gel but she must speak to consultant first. When she came back she said there was no reason for me to be induces in the first place and she's sending me home and rebooking my induction for the 8th... I feel so puzzled and worried if my baby will be ok as no one gonna monitored him and if there was no need for me to be induced why on earth they rebooked it? Any advise ladies? Am I right to be worried? Xxx

What is your due date and why were they inducing you?

With my first baby they tried to induce meat 38wks due to SPD, it didn't work and after a few days of trying they said I could have a c section or go home! I went home and was then induced once I was overdue.

Officially they induced me for blood clotting disorder as staying pregnant means increased risk of developing clots. I also have SPD and baby measured large at 37 weeks: scan showed 7lb 15oz... My due date was 30th July and it was the day they started induction.
