Am 40 plus 3 have just been for s and s. midwife said i was 2-3 cm cervix was short but still a bit thickens she could feel the head.

2nd baby, am booked for a section on 8th if I don't spontantiously labour. Been getting pains on and off all yesterday and today but no real regularity.

I got all excited thinking this is it then she said she would book another sweep for next week if I wanted in case it hadn't happened.

Please tell me I won't go another week like this

I've been in slow (latent) labour for 5 days so far, and still no sign of proper labour! I saw the midwife who said it could be another week yet... I was hoping she would offer me a sweep but she won't until 41wks. It's really frustrating when you're so close but it's not happening
