Are these contractions braxton hicks?

Am 37 weeks, and last night had very painful contractions every 15 mins for an hour and a half. Then nothing all night.

They've started again but every 15-20 mins.

Are they BH or could it be labour? This is my second pregnancy/child but was induced with first so didnt really experience contractions as I had n epidural and sintocinin.

The contractions whatever they are, are very painful and last night made me vomit.

I'm no expert but it sounds like the latent phase of labour to me. I had this for 5 days before established labour (but I think it's thankfully shorter for most). Good luck OP.

I has these for weeks before I went in to labour - actual contractions! I kept thinking this is it! Then nothing! But when I did go in to labour it was obvious as it didn't go away and by the end of the day I had a baby!!!

Thank you both. I haven't had any since I posted earlier thus afternoon, which makes me think its BH but when I do get them they're very painful, regular and feel like really contractions (not just tightenings if you see what I mean).

Could I possibly be dilating? Is it worth speaking to the MW anout or just deal with them, ESP if it only for a couple hrs a day.

Mine were contractions too - I had bh as well so u knew the difference

I do believe it was practice for the real thing - they didn't dilate me but my birth was straight forward and pretty manageable right up until transition #omgbloodypainful Grin
